The mission of the World Solar Foundation is to strengthen the capacity of people to meet the challenges of global interdependence. To advance this mission, the World Solar Foundation has developed programs and partnerships in the following areas:
 Organisation of the Second decade of the World Solar Programme 2010 -2019
(WSP 2010-2019) and, in particular, Mediterranean Solar Programme 2010-2019
Organisation of the renewal process for the composition of the World Solar Commission (WSC) and
the WSC secretariat
Promotion of multinational and intercontinental culture for socially responsible and economically viable
solar energy projects
